Reg Saunders was the first Aborigine to obtain a commission in the Australian Army and was included among those who went to Korea.

Although he was in charge of a company in Korea, Reg Saunders was reduced to rank of Lieutenant when he got home. To those who served with him, they saw this as a major oversight.
